Diwali Corporate Gift Boxes: A Last-Minute Planning Guide

Diwali falls on 8 November this year, and if your corporate gift boxes aren’t ordered yet, you still have options. A well-made box turns a simple hamper into something people remember, and with a clear plan, short runs can still be ready in time.
Here’s how to plan your festive packaging when the calendar is tight.
1. Decide what goes inside first
The box is built around its contents. Before you talk to a printer, know exactly what you’re packing: sweets, dry fruits, candles, diaries, or a mix. Measure each item, including any jars or tins, and note whether anything is fragile or heavy.
This tells your printer the size, the board strength and whether you need an insert to hold items in place.
2. Choose the right box style
For corporate gifting, three styles cover most needs:
- Rigid boxes: thick board wrapped in printed or textured paper. They feel premium, hold their shape and are often kept long after the gift is opened.
- Folding cartons: lighter and more economical. Ideal for sweets, small gifts or large quantities on a tighter budget.
- Corrugated boxes: strong and protective. Best as an outer shipping box, or for heavier hampers sent by courier.
Many companies pair a rigid gift box with a plain corrugated outer box for safe delivery.
3. Keep the design simple
When time is short, simple designs print faster and look more elegant. A single brand colour, your logo and one finishing touch, such as gold foil on the lid, often looks more premium than a busy, full-colour design. It also means fewer proof rounds.
4. Add personal touches that don’t slow you down
- A printed greeting card or sleeve with a festive message
- A sticker seal with your logo
- A satin ribbon or tie
- A custom insert that holds each item neatly
These small details make a standard box feel made for the occasion.
5. Know your realistic timeline
At JJ Imprints, smaller runs usually take about 5 working days from approved artwork to dispatch. Larger orders of 1,000 pieces or more typically take 20–25 days, depending on the product. We print from just 100 pieces, so smaller teams can order exactly what they need.
To stay on schedule:
- Send your item sizes and quantity with your quote request.
- Share print-ready artwork (PDF preferred), or ask about our design help.
- Approve your proof quickly.
- Plan delivery: we ship across India and can include shipping on your invoice.
6. Start planning next year now
The calmest festive season is the one planned in advance. Once Diwali is over, note what worked, which items people loved and how many boxes you needed. Booking your packaging two to three months ahead next year gives you more choice of finishes and no last-minute stress.
